Line boring and machining

We use a broad range of technologies and techniques to remove materials from a workpiece using power-driven machine tools to shape it into your intended design.

To do this we bring your old equipment back to its original manufacturing specifications and performance that establishes perfectly straight bores for crankshaft and camshaft housings. It is a precise process that uses stones instead of cutters to finish-size the bores.

The process

Looking at the item that needs machining one team member will build up with welding and then line boar this to the correct size needed. As parts wear away on particular machines they can build up with things that need to be ‘machined’ down to be able to perform correctly and to look how it did when it was new. Through line boring and machining we correct the issues that may happen over time with machinery and then fit them back to the correct size and dimensions. If there are broken parts we cut out the broken steel and fix the parts back to the right size.

Machining works for different shapes and sizes and we can customise our line boring pieces to suit any element that needs fixing.
